The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk 42-46 chassis length

Hi folks. My 46 1/2 ton has, at some time , had the rear end of the chassis cut off. I am rebuilding the truck and need to add some back to the ends of the chassis. How much, is the question? Does anyone have a measure from the center of the rear spring hanger to the end of the chassis, please?

On my 41 which should be the same it is 11 3/8" from the centerline of the spring at the frame to end of frame. Tape was held at bottom of frame not down to the spring. Dave

Thanks for that Dave. Seems like I need to add about 5 inches.
