For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 67 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 67 | I've been eyeing this truck for a while now, and it now has a for sale sign in it. It is a '50 Chevy 4100 that is quite complete and fairly solid yet. The price is certainly right, should be able to get it for under $400.
Is this a 1-1/2 ton? I am going to go talk to the owner again tonight probably and try to seal the deal.

I didn't check out all the numbers yet, but here is what I've got. The number on the title looks more like an engine number to me: 64172F564. I didn't look at the VIN plate yet. The original engine isn't there, because it appears to be a later 235, but I will find out for sure when I get it home.
