Hi, my father and I have started work on a 1939 chevy 1.5 ton truck my grandfather left us. One problem we have run in to is installing the windshield, we have a good one in the frame but the old one was removed before we got it, so we are not sure how it goes back in, specifically the two hinges at the top of the cab. it looks like you would pass bolts through both the windshield frame and these to hold the top in place while it cranks out at the bottom. problem is I can't find reference to these on the parts sites I've been to or any videos detailing instructions (seems like everything starts at '47). I also have a '46 2 ton that I will have the same problem with though I'm pretty sure it's the same way for both. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a 40, and if I understand you. You have a frame with the glass I it? If so there should be two hinges at the top of the windshield opening. Each will have two holes in them. The windshield frame should have two sets of two holes that are threaded 10-32. Pull the hinges out or forward ( should swing in an ark ) then bolt together!

Thank you, we have two good windshields in frames and the first one we looked at had the holes pass through the frame, the second better frame we looked at has the threaded holes. Thank you for the instructions, we can finally get this cab weathered in.
