I see 39 and up cabovers but have never seen any 37s,I have a danbury mint 1/24 scale 38 GMC flatbed but it looks more like the 39/40. Just wondering if anyone knew if a 37 COE was ever made.

Jeff!

Take a look here as it says "not officially until 1939".

GMC's first mass production medium duty COE's first showed up in 1937(ie. the Danbury Mint model).GMC had Heavy Duty COE's, as early as 1934. Chevrolets first Factory Built COE's started with the 1939 year models. Would you believe G.M., also had Oldsmobile, & Maple Leaf COE's.

An Olds COE?? How many of those do you have squirrelled away, Spanky? Man -- if you got one of those, you could quit right there 'cause you win!!

That would be cool.

Peg, I don't have one, but I sure would like to add one to my collection. They were mostly, for export only, built, & shipped out of, G.M. of Canada. Check out a couple here, http://home.vicnet.net.au/~oldsclub/38trkhist.html

Thanks for that link Spanky!

I sure didn't know that Oldsmobile trucks existed back then! Couldn't have been a lot made.

Geo.
