I've only driven my truck in the neighborhood a few times so far, but in a video that my wife shot, I noticed how much that original front solid axle stands out! Anyone ever painted that on their truck to make it pop? I was thinking of maybe a silver/chrome color.

It just hit me that I'm able to see the axle in the vid because I do not yet have a front bumper..

I painted my entire chassis, including the front axle, using semi-gloss black. But that was mainly for rust protection, not necessarily bling. I guess my aim is to pass the truck on to my kids when I die, and it'll still be intact, and relatively rust-free.

Back in the 70s, some guys painted the banjo cover. Or they bought chrome ones. I supposed that they had nothing else to do.

Lol, I actually like how the chrome banjo cover looks.

I'm actually talking about the front straight axle in this request, though. Sorry if saying "solid axle" made everyone think of the back.
