My engine is the 235ci in my 54 Australian built Chev truck.
My manual indicates I require AC 43 44 or 45 spark plugs.
Where have people been getting your plugs from?
I am looking for original style non tapered seat as at the moment I am using a modern plug which is a tapered seat.
Are you just getting them N.O.S from Ebay or is there a business that can supply these?

They will burn out very quickly, and the overheated plug tips might cause detonation in the combustion chamber that will blow holes in the pistons. Original equipment "AC" plugs are not the same as "AC-Delco" which is a product made offshore- - - -not from the USA. I'd recommend an equivalent heat range plug from Champion, Bosch, or maybe NGK if you can find something other than AC-Delco in the proper gasket design and heat range.

If you need a resister version to calm down radio noise, just add an “r” in front of those numbers. They are the correct extended plug with the gaskets. I have run those plugs in my motors for nearly 45 years in both stock motors and modified motors.
J12y, j13y and j14y are the older obsolete numbers but they turn up at flea markets and eBay. Theses will also work perfectly.

A "hot blue spark" that was once the ideal situation is also the equivalent of an arc welder where distributor cap conductors are concerned. Resistor plugs and/or wires prevent damage to critical components while still providing plenty of fire to light off the fuel mixture. "Wire" conductors for ignition systems went obsolete over 50 years ago.
