Hello Looking at a '41 and saw this on the rear. The casting on left side appears to be broken. The right side is OK - would you be concerned? See the photos

That's just a casting leftover. Chevy didn't spend a lot of time dressing those up. They just break the casting sprue (the part that the molten metal gets pored into) off as close as they can and call it good.
