I just received a PM from a fellow, thanking me for sharing info about the proper use of the choke and throttle cables when starting a cold engine.
I thought about what I had typed in the post to which he referenced, and was trying to recall where I picked up that information.
It turned out to have been from the '52 Operators Manual.
I recommend that everyone buy one for your model. There is important information found in there that is not in the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual or anywhere else.

Good advice. I bought an Operators Manual for my '56 before I even pulled it out of the field, lol.
