I know that there is a safety issue with the concept of single vs. dual master and brake lines. But I am seeking the opinions of others. Will a new, well maintained single line system be safe on a daily driver 1 ton 3800 panel when coupled to a re-built Hydrovac? What are the issues about using a Hyrdovac on the front leg of a dual line system. The aftermarket suppliers of underfloor power masters are not too positive about putting their 1/2 ton units on a 1 ton and I have the Hydrovac. Thanks, Don

www.ecihotrodbrakes.com The remote booster will work on a 1 ton part # EC 1400 a bit pricy but its needed. With this booster you can mount it anywere and just run a 2 line master. Toss the Hydro. Safe way to go. Might be over kill on our smaller trucks.

I'm thinking about using a dual master cylinder with two Hydrovacs. A booster is required for 8800 lb GVW on my 1-ton, and I like the idea of a dual master, so why not? I'll mount a Hydrovac and vacuum can on each side of the frame.

Many of the large trucks had dual boosters with double master cylinders.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Both my 4400 and my 6400 have the standard Hydrovac single cylinder units. I'm thinking that a bracket similar to those that mount a booster and dual master on a pickup would allow doing the same on the bigger trucks.

Might need to custom fabricate the bracket.

Then I plan to use a bigger booster and master from a C60 or similar truck.

I'm some research short of starting this, but I'm hoping to approach it that way.

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
