For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 5,708 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 5,708 | Has anyone ever upgraded the front wheel bearings from ball to tapered roller on a 4400 truck? Did you happen to write down the bearing #'s? I don't recall seeing a thread on this subject before so it might not be possible. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 587 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 587 | Chev's of the 40's has the roller bearings to change most sizes of trucks in their new catalog. That's a great catalog, get one. These bearings are expensive. Think a Big truck front inner only was $95!! You buy each seperate, no sets. Not sure if the web site shows them or not. I'm finding most parts web sites leave little to desire anymore. Carter's is most info, just hard to use and search on. Most have little picture info. I need pictures. Every part in 40's catalog is pictured. Even simple ones.
