The gas gauge (original) has worked fine up until about a year ago, then just stopped working. When I turn the key from the dead position to accessory position the gauge will “jump” or “twitch” slightly, then return to where it is frozen, at about the quarter full mark. If you'll search under this section, you'll see I've done a lot of work on this. If you have the original sender, I can pretty well promise you it has just given up the ghost. If you have one of the foreign-made replacements, I can without doubt promise you it has given up the ghost. Please let me know if you need more info on this.

| | | | | Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 119 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 119 | Did you install a drop-down resistor on the power wire to the gas gauge? I agree that the original gauge and sender will function on 12 volts. The only question is how long.
