The door on my truck is not closing correctly. It's. Too low on the latch side. Can the hinges be shimmed . Help is appreciated. Thanks larrym

You should be able to make adjustments instead of shimming. I’ve linked the door adjustment procedure from the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual.

It could also be worn hinge pins which are replaceable and available from most vendors.

Thanks but the instructions for. A 1947but are not the same.
I believe 1939 to hru 1946 are same hinges. My truck is a 1940. Thanks larrym

Shoot me an email and I can send you some pages out of a 46 GMC manual that shows how to adjust the doors. Worked great on my 46.

My bad! Here is another link for a “1941 Chevrolet Shop Manual for Passenger Cars and Trucks”. I don’t know if it’s applicable to your truck but worth a try.
