Hello all, I’m seeking help locating a place that sells seals for my 1948 GM Eaton H110 rear axle. She be leaking out all three ends. Also anyone have a clue where to get some 5.43 gears? I have 6.17 gears and would like a few less revs in my grocery getter.

Also, Seals were replaced with felt ones and they still leak pretty significantly. Does anyone know if more modern rubber seals from let’s say a 1960’s C30 h110 application would work?

Thank you all in advance.

I replaced all the seals in my GM corporate 15000 lb. axle, they were all new style rubber. Try to get some dimensions and find a Napa auto parts store, they should be able to match them by dimension.

Check your axle vent and make sure it's open...if it's plugged up that's why your new seals are leaking.

Jknipp Do you have it chock full of gear oil?? If so may be so deep seals can't handle it. It axpands as you drive, also warm weather expands it. Cold setting level OK to be 1/2 inch below fill plug hole, just feel in there with your little finger !!
