| | | | Joined: Jan 2021 Posts: 19 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2021 Posts: 19 | I am working on 51 3600 with 235 and manueal, i have the front free and bolts out of the rear mounts but what do i have to do to get the engine out of the rear mounts? It looks like it has to be jacked up a bit in the back but i dont have much room for the transmission to go far? Thanks for any help

The head of the bolt is probably covered up by gunk, but the nut should be visible just inboard of the frame rails.
Once those are loose and the transmission unbolted from the bellhousing, the engine will need to move forward to disengage the transmission input shaft from the clutch.
I think it'll be easier to pull the engine and transmission together. The torque tube has 4 bolts around the ball at the transmission mount crossmember and the lower two bolts also go thru the transmission mount.
