| | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 240 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 240 | 1965 GMC 1/2ton project for the last 10 yrs, tore down to the concrete floor and built back up replacing every wear item
basically every thing new, front disc brake conversion, 350 V-8, T5 trans, SWB with a custom flat bed. Replaced the fuel tank
with the Blazer 20 gal tank kit from LMC. I didn't not read the kit fully, it came with a 30ohm sender. New dash insert with new SW gauges
Electric speedo, tach,oil pressure, temp,volt and fuel gauge 90ohm. There lays the problem, tried to locate a 90ohm sender, no luck at LMC or Classic
Parts which are both local within 35 miles of my place. The mounting hole on the tank is to small to accept any sender I have tried,
so finally got my head out of my backside and went to Auto Zone and found a Auto Meter 30ohm gauge part # 1425 that matches my gauges, $51.00
the same gauge from SW was $135. this is going to be driven not shown so that will work. Just venting thanks for listening.

went to O-Reillys and searched for a sender, found one for a early 1970 Blazer and it fits and works with my 90ohm gauge.
Not on their computer, had to dig the book out, just installed it and works fine. Classic Parts listed it but not available, soooo
the O-Reilly part # is FG118A, I know that I'am not the only one that has run into this type of problem, hope this will help someone else
in the future. Makes you wonder how this virus situtation will effect the classic and restoration field in the future.
