When you press the brake pedal it vibrates badly, seems to be a higher frequency than what I've experienced with warped rotors. Is there some other possible cause or is it simply warped drums (out of round)? Doesn't do it when using the parking brake so presume it must be the front, can't tell if it's both or just one, doesn't seem to pull to one side or the other.
New drums from the Irish chain, obviously expected them to be perfectly smooth. Any help appreciated.

If you have an auto parts store locally that can turn drums have them set them up and check the runout. Generally if it is that far out even turning it probably wouldn't work. Plus it shouldn't be necessary to turn a new drum. Since it's new, the supplier should replace it. Fred

If the old ones were hold on with rivets and you knocked the heads off the rivets they might not letting the new drum seat good. George They say money can't buy happiness. Will report with findings then.
I'm thinking an installation issue as, while not impossible, warped new drums seems unlikely. Thanks for the feedback.

Winner winner chicken dinner.
They're looking for drums with the integral hub, not so much of a seating issue as a concentric issue.
