Take the front half of a Model A or 32 Chevy or what ever is sitting around, strip everything off leaving just the dash/cowl, hood and radiator shell. Then weld a big truck axle (single or dual wheel) directly to the shortened frame (you end up with about a 60-70" wheel base)and direct connect it to the trans. Then bolt some sort of a seat and fuel tank and there you go! I think there were plans available in Popular Machanics on how to do it back in the 40's . Given what this thing is, I would not be surprised if the axle isn't a '46.
I don't know how to be sure. If the axle has any numbers on it someone may be able to look up the numbers to correctly identify the axle.
