Hello am working on 1954 chevy 3100 12 volt I don't know anything about LED lighting . Would like to know the pro's vs con's can anyone tell me the bulb numbers for gauge light bulb HI beam indicator turn signal indicator as well as turn,brake, park also what is the best quality also do they come in color were the best place to buy THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not aware of any LED replacement bulbs being made in the USA. However depending on your particular application, you can use common leds (these are singe leds and not bulbs) for turn signal, hi-beam, etc. I've done this several times and the only thing you need to remember is to buy leds that are already made to be used with 12v or to get the proper resistor to wire in-line with them. Mouser Electronics is a good place to buy these. Digi-Key may be ok also, but I prefer Mouser. As for LED bulb replacements, you must be careful to get the right color temperature. They're made in several color "temperatures" (5000, 4000, 3000, 2750, etc). 5000 will look rather blue-white and odd in a 1954 truck. 4000 is a bright white...more like daylight. 3000 in my opinion is the perfect color...matches rather yellowish output color of the original bulbs. Please be careful to get LED replacement bulbs which will be dimmable. Not all of them will be and this is really odd if you get some which won't dim. As for where to buy, I'd start with Amazon. Returns are not complicated and you may receive something you don't like. Oh, one other thing...many of these replacement bulbs do not "spread" light but just sort of shoot it in a straight ahead stream. Your original bulbs spread light in a rather hemispherical fashion and you want to duplicate that if possible.
