I am in need of the front section of the drivers side windlace channel. I only see it being sold in a kit with all 3 pcs. for around 80.00 If anyone is looking for one of the others I would split the cost.
If you're talking about the windlace channel like in the photo, Jim Carter sells ~12" long sections individually. They're straight sections so would be difficult to form around the curved sections of the door frame.

Hope I am wrong on this but it appears the photo shows a repair section for the 51 and up style . That is the style that the rubber fits inside. If ckreutz has a 49 like in his signature that is the other style that the rubber fits behind and has screws about 3 to 4 inches apart . Might still work but does not look like the early version . Good luck
ckreutz I stopped by Carters about 2 weeks ago,counter was closed due to covid,sign said call will put parts on the dock. Couldn't get thru,went back and knocked,girl said go to the dock they will help you. Finally got some of it,rest backorded ! Dont know why they wont answer the phones. Were nice enough once we connected !

Jim Carter says the weld-on channel is for Mid-49 and up. So maybe there's a 50/50 chance it will be correct.

My cab is from 52-54... it has the channel that the windlace slides into. The rest of the truck is a late 49 at least this is what I have found out so far and what the title says. It's a little confusing since the guy I bought it from says he purchased it from the original owner who said it's all original. When I ordered the Altman latches for a 49, the striker post did not fit. That's when I found out the cab is newer.
