My question is, dose the AD cab sit further forward or further back compared to the S10 cab on the S10 frame ? The reason I ask is, I'd like to rebuild the AD bed and mount it on the S10 frame with the 4x4 rear axle. I'd to continue driving the truck until I get the body work all done the AD cab and than mount it on the S10 frame. In my opinion, you are going to need another vehicle. The type of project that you are starting is a major one. There will be lot's of surprises, that will most likely prohibit you from accomplishing all that needs done (safely) in a short period of time.
I think that it would make the most sense to mount the cab first.
