The recent treatment of our brothers and sisters in the National Guard brought to mind one of Rudyard Kiplings poems. I share it with you now for your professional and personal edification:

There's a lot of us who share Tommy's sentiments. I read that one for the first time back in the 1960's, in high school when most of the really good teachers were WW II or Korea vets.
