Hi,
My clutch does not work. Disc is straight and on correct way. Pressure plate is level. Throwout bearing is new. Wondering if the pad on the disc is too thick? Do not have the original to check Just does not work, looking for suggestions. picture shows disc sitting on pressure plate and how high it sits.
thanks

When you say it doesn't work, do you mean it doesn't release?
The springs have to compress some from the unassembled position for it to hold, but you also have to have enough movement in the linkage to release it. I would check the linkage first.
Also, if the pilot bearing is hung up, or the splines on the disk/transmisison input shaft are too tight, the clutch can hang up, causing grinding on shifting.

There are several height throw out bearings, might have a short one in there if it was changed recently?
