I need to rebuild the fuel pump on my 48Chevy Truck (216). I received a rebuild kit for Jim Carter. Can anybody point me in the right direction for a schematic drawing so I will have a backup as I have not done this before.
If the kit didn't come with an instruction sheet then you should contact Jim Carter for accurate information. They may direct you to a video or technical help on their website.
Other info: Stock Chevy pumps will have been made by AC Delco but you may have an over-the-counter pump like those made by Carter. Old pump kits may not be compatible with todays ethanol gasoline.
"Adding CFM to a truck will only help at engine speeds you don't want to use." "I found there was nothing to gain beyond 400 CFM."
Note there is no picture of the pump arm removed. It is held in place by a pin. If I remember correctly, the pump arm spring is strong. Reassembly takes some effort. Locktite on pin to keep in place.
