Before I call the parts place I buy from, I want to make sure I have the wrong weather stripping. Mine should be able to be used with the stainless trim. This piece only has two grooves. One for glass and one for truck lip. There should be a third for the stainless, correct? I know my pictures aren’t great but I’m not sure the best angle for someone who knows what they’re looking for.
Is this the situation? when I changed the windshield of my '63 custom cab the old gasket was badly weather cracked. I got a new one but it did not have the groove for the stainless trim. Plain jane truck didnt have the trim. At that time I was told they no longer made it and I couldn't get what I wanted so I set the trim aside. They now reproduce both kinds available at some places. Check to see what you bought with your supplier.
