Does anyone know if the saddles sold by The Truck Shop in Orange fit the 1963 C20 pickups? I cannot tell from the picture if the cutouts are offset for the angled traling arms. Or, are these just for the C10?
Also, do you guys know if these axle bolts will work?
It says they are for trailing arm suspension. The bolts have a length dimension. C10 and C20- same axle tube diameter. So pretty straight forward .
Well, I guess I’ll find out Friday. It just doesn’t look like the cutouts are offset. And, I’m not sure if the C10 and C20 trailing arms are the same; not even sure if the C10s have trailing arms. I thought it was just C20s.
Longer than "stock" length Ubolts probably to accommodate helper springs or heavy duty springs or some add on that makes the stack thicker. Yes C10 has trailing arms.
The leaf springs on the back of the axle, are these just helper springs? We’re these standard equipment on the C10s and C20s? I have not been able to find bushings for these. Does anyone have a source?
You have factory optional or aftermarket or dealer Auxiliary Rear Springs (helper springs/overload springs). Don't know of any bushing source. If you are not hauling heavy loads, take them off, you may get a better ride. Although they are advertised to only bear on the suspension under heavy loads.

Ok then - thanks for the info. I think I will just leave these off.
I see what you mean about bushings. It has shackles on one end. It almost looks homemade'ish. We will call it "shop made", a nicer way of saying it. Could be an aftermarket unit or parts from one. I can't say what's best to do with all that. I can say with that design, it never did a dam thing.

I think you’re right, it probably didn’t do much. Either way, I don’t plan on reinstalling it.
