Ok I have a few questions.

First off the original 6 is installed.
I want to go with power disk set up. Is there any issues with wheel spacing? If I use the kit that allows to use the stock (drum spindels)I'm sure that it will push the wheels out to far.

Next if I use drops is there a safe limit that I can use before other steering issues are encountered.

Power steering, if I purchase a power kit, does it matter if I retain the 6 or change over to v8?

It is my understanding that in order to install disc brakes on the 60's era trucks you have to use the spindles from a 71-72 truck. The aftermarket kits that I have seen use this setup.
Take a look at the kits offered by ABS in Orange, CA. www.abspowerbrake.com.
They also offer lowered spindles.
With regard to the steering, several aftermarket suppliers offer steering conversion kits. The problem you are going to have is to find or fabricate a pump mounting bracket for your 235 as nobody sells a kit. There are a number of postings about this subject. You can use the generator mounted pump but they can be expensive.

OK a final question, on a conversion to power disk set up. has anyone ever experienced a problem with a vaccum problem? I'm considering power disk but am uncertain if it will run enough vaccum to operate the booster if anyone has any insight that would be great.

I don,t believe the later model parts will fit the 60-62 models with the torsion bar susp. There might be a kit for it. There will be plenty of vacuum unless you have a high performance cam. There is a kit to install the later model p.S. gear that works real goog but like rfs says putting a pump on the old six is hard to do.

Yes it's true that there were 6's that had power steering, and the brackets if you can find them are there. the Problem is the price... There was a person on here that had the brackets that was willing to sell them but his price was out of my range. Just for the brackets was 350 wonder if he would let me borrow them so I can build a set...Haha

I doubt it... There is a brake kit for the 60/61 truck. I bought it but was wondering if I was going to have enough vacuum to run the booster. But it sounds like it won't be a problem. Engine is staying stock for now.
