Late ‘50’s with the change to tubeless tires, however as early as ‘55 on tube type tires. Ed

I have found the 4.75 on Advanced Design and 5.25 on Task Force. This coincides with GMC New design and Blue Chip. The break was mid year 1955

1954 was the first year for the 5.25 rim center circle. Photo from 1954 Chevrolet Truck Engineering Features Book.

They may have been in Engineering books, but I'm not so sure they were available in 1954. The New Design GMC 350 in the picture still has the smaller bolt circle. And I really doubt that Chev got anything before GMC.

Trust me Kenneth, I've owned several 1954 Chevrolet 2 ton Conventionals, and COEs, and they all had the 5.25 center bolt circle.

1954 COE front wheel, and axle. Same 5.25 center hole, as in Engineering Features Book.

Ed, That axle must have came from a 54 model truck ? Does it have 5.25 center wheels on the rear ?

Spanky, yes, front and rear, titled as ‘55, came from ND. Ed

Okay, that's more like it. Lol. Your other post had me thinking you had a 50.2 model, instead of a 54, or 55 model. ?
