I'm thinking about converting my '95 lt1 to a carb setup that I currently have in my '50 3100. I have it coupled to a 4L60E tranny. Is there a computer unit out there to run just the 4L60E tranny, i.e., much smaller, less programming?

It's actually possible to make a silk purse from a sow's ear- - - -but it makes the pig look funny and it doesn't hear very well. If you want a truck with that engine/trans combination, wouldn't it be simpler to buy one with that setup from the factory?

I believe there are few few companies that make stand alone controllers, but I don't have that info handy at the moment.

Why would you want to go away from that nice, efficient EFI system? That's the whole reason for dropping a late model in there!

This would be a huge headache. Lots of parts need changing. Forget the idea or swap in a carb'ed 350 with a 700r4, Sell the other set. Should be a relatively easy swap. You may come out about even, money wise.

Haha, my most recent experience with those "efficient" EFI motors:

Just answered this question for another poster, is your block bored for fuel pump push rod, does your cam have the lobe for the
fuel pump, is your motor a roller motor, if so cam lobe seperation is different between carb and EFI, idle issues. I am building mine
as we speak.
