It would solve my tank issues if they decide to put it on the market. | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 |

But after looking at the pictures in the webrodder article it appears to me they used this one: http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/p...ry_id=69/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd108.htm Or am I looking at it wrong? The one in the link you provided is for a 53/54 Car isn't it? | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | The thing is, those with a 3100 are likely to find a new tank that will fit. I don't doubt someone makes one. I couldn't find the Summit tank on their site. My problem is, with a 3600 and a more narrow frame rails than the 3100 I will probably need to find something that will fit or have one special made. I have seen somewhere someone makes tanks to order, I just can't remember where I saw it. My plan is to have the filler tube exit out the middle rear from behind the license plate like the cars of the 50/60s.

I think that would work out. | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 119 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2006 Posts: 119 | Those blazer tanks would be nice, but the only problem I have is you have to move the rear crossmember which if you do you lose the frame support for your rear leaf spring bracket. I know some have done that conversion and maybe it's not a problem, but I would rather have a tank to fit the existing configuration. Just my preference. | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,026 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,026 | I went the blazer route on my 3600 and I'm pleased with the results. It was a simple swap and fairly inexpensive.
