Our town holds a First Friday event each month, they close off the main streets through Old Town, the Shops all are open and the restaurants set up tables in the street. They also have an area for the the local car guys to park and show off their rides. This month there was an AD along with the other cars, I don't know anything about the Truck and wasn't able to locate the owner. I have only seen this Truck once before and that was on the back of a Roll Back. It seemed fairly solid, the cab corners had some rust and the front badge was rusted thru., you have to love the paint. The bed floor was a sheet of diamond plate, the seat appeared to have been reupholstered recently and it looked to have new wheels and tires. I 'll try to track the owner down and get some for info, it was COOL just to see it there.

Pull down handles and vent windows, tells it's probably a 195_.
1951 The only year with that combo of vent windows and pull down door handles. 1952 went to pushbutton handles. AD Spotter Guide

Very nice! I hope the owner leaves it in more-or-less that condition.
The beehive park lights must have been pilfered from a GMC, or maybe aftermarket. And doors, although obviously '51, are so frequently changed on these trucks that they are not necessarily a reliable indicator of what year the truck actually is.

Actually the glass is probably fine, it had just started a light mist. When we came out of the Pizza place later it had rained a good bit. I found out who the owner is , he's a local Rod Builder, his cars lean towards leaving the outside and working on the chassis and drive train. He has built many cars and trucks with the original engines still in them. I hope he does that with this truck. I'll keep you posted.

Could be GMC fenders with those beehive lights. I think there is a slight contour difference between the Chevy and GMC fenders though I would need them side by side to compare.
