Hy group, I want to lower the rear of the 53 3100 1/2 ton pu presently I have put spaces to get an idea what is happening. Let start by saying that I got the truck without the original rear end, I got a 62 1/2" wheel flange to flange 6 bolt posi rear that I will need to grind the mounts off that held the trailering arms for the spring mounting. When I put 3" spacing blocks and set back the rear about 2" I still have way more space between the tires and the wheel openings then I want, I can't go much more or even this much space without the bottom of the ubolt supports hitting the ground in the case of a flat tire. Any suggestions appreciate in what you have done to get the rear lower.Sorry to post so many question but who knows best then you, who have done it all. Thanks Ed ke6bnl
