Will a 1954 235 fit in a 1958 Chevy.
I hear the mounts location are not the same so don’t want to buy the 54 block until I’m sure. Any info will be appreciated!

I just finished putting a 1958 car 235 in a 1952 truck. I had to install two holes in the front engine plate with a new 1952 front engine cushion and I used the 1952 bellhousing and two new 1952 rear mounts.

So, as long as you're using front and rear mounts, then yes it will work.

Hy chevyator, welcome, unfortunately if the engine block is truly no newer than 1954 I don't think it will have the front/side bosses that the 1955 B or second series through 1959 use to bolt the front engine mounts to.

I've got a 55.1 261, has no cast pad or bolt holes on front sides of block, can only mount from timing cover plate.
