Please assist me where to find this. The Burb was bought in Michigan. Also I posted or replied on a few threads. How do OI know when I get a reply or where I put replies.

I cant find it on the actual burb. That is why I posted for help. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 | The ONLY place you will find a vin on your truck is the plate riveted/screwed between the drivers door hinges on the cab side. No other places. If that metal tag is gone it cannot be legally replaced without going through your State licensing agency.

The OP's "VIN" may be one assigned by his state's registration agency.
This was before the Vehicle Identification Number became standardized as a 17 character alpha/numeric string with each position having a specific meaning, allowing you to decode a modern VIN, the first character being the country of manufacture and the second, the company. Other stuff like body style, engine, transmission, etc are also included.
