I have a 1953 GMC truck with no under bed spare tire mount. Some years ago I read in one of the truck magazines how a Chevy C10 or S10 under bed spare tire mount was used for an older Chevy truck. Has anyone heard of this? I. Need to find something to mount the spare tire as the beauty is about ready to take on the road ... finally

Has been talked about a few times on this forum.

Here's a link to an article about it. I believe the author is a regular here and will jump in and answer questions...

I used a spare tire bracket from a mid 80;s truck ,I had to trim the end a little for it to fit but has been on the truck since the early 90,s .It fits under the truck just like the original ones . There was one I found on Craig’s list in Minnesota may still be on there it was a original one for a Advance design truck.
