I have a 1953 GMC and I’m having trouble inserting anew master cylinder access plug in the floorboard, it’s very stiff and not flexible. Does anyone have any tips to install it?

Just heat up some water (almost boiling), then put the rubber in the water for a minute or so, it will soften up so you can install.

Shoot some WD-40 on it.

Another good lubricant is dishwashing detergent. Put a little around the hole and the rubber plug slide right in. You don't have to worry about oily residue getting on anything. Anything it gets on will clean right off.
