I've got a 1952 Chevy 3600 and I need to change the brake lines, Cylinders and pads. I am going to bend my own brake lines. I am able to find a new master cylinder but I can find no information on the brake cylinders and for the pads that are needed when I take these drums a part.
Does anyone have the specs on what size cylinder and pads are needed? Is it something easy to find or do I have to special order them online.

George | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 26 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 26 | It looks like NAPA may carry the brake cylinders, the brake shoes can be relined if they haven't been worn down to bare metal. A good brake shop can do that. It would always help to take one side apart to see what the cylinder looks like before shopping. I only take one side apart at a time, because that way I have the other side still assembled if there's any question as to how the parts need to be reassembled.

I'm very impressed with their ability to find oddball parts when other vendors don't list them.
I just looked at the Rock Auto site- - - -they list rear brake shoes for a 1953 3600 with 12" rear drums, but nothing for a 52. Does your truck have Huck or Bendix-type brakes? The Rock Auto listing shows a Bendix style shoe in the illustration.
