Do any of you folks know where I could get a squirrel cage for 1950 Chevy 1 1/2 ton I did find some online but it doesn’t specify standard or deluxe heater
I’m guessing mine is a standard, the rectangle one.

A picture here would really help there are two standard heaters for 1950 neither of which is really square?

If you have this one which is correct for 47-48 deluxe and super deluxe plaques exist, you see them with and without the add-on defroster.

This heater could have lingered for years on a dealer shelf or been retrofitted from another truck. If it is not one of these three you are in Canada or have an aftermarket.

Joe,
Type this in your browser. A lot of listings will pop up. I doubt there were different heaters for the size of truck. The 2 T will be the same as the 1/2 T. The Standard and Delux probable used the same fan motor.

The reason for asking what is wrong with yours is to keep you from rushing around when it could be fixed. A squirrel cage is not a high tech component. "It's broke" tells us nothing. What is wrong with it? Many of us like to fix stuff. If you don't want to fix it, that's fine. If you have determined it is unfixable, then OK.
I agree with Harold. No reason for Chevy to have a different motor or cage just for STD and Deluxe....and many years should work. Just compare the dimensions of cage and it's shaft hole size. Here you go..... CLICK
This is plastic.

This May work for a metal one. Dimensions are very close to the first linked cage.

Squirrel cage broke means it’s broke, it is in 2 pieces . The ones I have found say for Deluxe heater and this leads me to believe it may be different from the other ones.
