I'm getting ready to remove the grill on the '46. It's in kind of rough shape, see photos. I've been searching (trying to search) for restoration tips but my search skills are not up to par. Any tips or guidelines would be appreciated.
Thank you for all the info and photos. That will help a lot with the work. I've found several youtube videos showing the use of Barkeepers Friend as a method of rust removal from the stainless steel so I'll give that a try after I remove the grill. Hopefully that will be all I need to clean up the instrument cluster too. I'll post photos as the work progresses. Unfortunately that won't be this weekend since I promised myself I'd finish the storage shelves in the garage and finish restoring my woodworking tools this weekend. And I need the jointer and drill press to do the truck bed!
