So my 1940 1.5 ton has a cracked mounting point and it appears to be some type of pot metal???? How do I repair this? It looks like someone had used JB weld in the past and that broke at some point.
There are some videos of repairs. One example shows a crack repair but the finish has been affected. Also look at causes of the crack. Is something moving or vibrating causing the crack in the first place? You may fix the crack only to have it crack again. Pot metal is not flexible.
