Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 112 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 112 | I am rebuilding a 1957 3100 rear axle. I sourced the bearings and seals from NAPA. The rear seal they gave me is much thinner than the original seal I removed. The original seal looks like it had a seal and then a leather/rope seal together in the seal body, whereas the new one just has a rubber seal and no leather/rope section. Are the old style seals no longer made and is the single seal correct? Thanks
