What do you guys think of rear fender skirts on a 64 chevy short fleetside? Your opinion on them. I was thinkin about gettin some for my 64 chevy truck. Its a shortbed fleetside. Lowered 3" front and 6" in rear..Just a thought..they look alright.

On a modified truck? I think they'd be great. They were popular on everything in the 30's. They make the truck look faster.

To be honest, I'd think they make more sense on a stepside, but I can't really explain why. It's an aesthetic thing that's all.

If it ain't broke, take it apart and figure out why!

I have a steel set for a 47-54. I should probably put them in the "parts for sale" section.

A lot of west coast lowriders use them. I have seen them on 60-66 trucks and they don't look bad if it low enough, lake pipes help with the look though. You should check out some lowrider sites for pic's.

I remember when skirts were the "in" thing, but that was in the '50's. I don't remember ever seeing the later trucks or cars with skirts on them. Some of the rat rodders and traditionalists around here are putting them on their 40's and 50's cars and trucks and I think they look neat. Not sure about putting them on a '64 though.

By the way, the answer to your tag line is Romans 8:1-2
