Hy C10 - C90 Bill, medium duty P.T.O., straight cut gears, early 50s most likely. Not enough gears to be a two speed or reversible. I have 27 P.T.O.s here and none have that same code, I have been searching for an old P.T.O. application catalogue for 35 years, next time I'm at the Pacific Northwest Truck Museum in Brooks Oregon I'm going to look through their stuff. The "C" on the tag might stand for Clark, but that is just a wild guess. Good luck tracking down the info and let us know if you do.
3B, thanks. I did some research a long time ago and even though I didn't find out much, I believe someone did mention Clark. I've had it since 1986 and it was probably pretty old then as you have mentioned.

I have been using PTOs since the late 1950's. Back in the earlier days every transmission had a different PTO. I have scrapped a bunch of them just because I couldn't figure out what they fit.
Bill, thanks for posting the '72 catalogue. Behind the 503 in my '54 GMC, I tried to figure out the correct PTO, never could find the right one, while wasting time on Ebay one night, saw an idler gear for PTO's, wondered if it would work, bought one, tried it out, worked, what luck, now my crane works.

Just realized something a little interesting about the PTO I posted above. On the Tag, after Chelsea, MI it lists a Zip Code of 48118. Zip Codes weren't implemented until 1963, which proves the PTO has to be a '63 or newer.
Wonder how much this will help us, lol.
