Look at some turbo and non-turbo models of the same engine, such as the Toyota Supra inline six. Very few parts interchange between the two engines, even though they share the same displacement and appearance. Packing 10 pounds of potatoes into a 5-pound sack usually isn't a good idea, either!

We have the technology and know how to do this stuff now. I want to say its been 10 years since he first did it to an el camino. Call him. He is a real enthusiast, makes a lot of parts for our inline motors, is easy to talk to and quite knowledgeable. You will like him.
