Mike, Thanks for using your name. I like to know who I am conversing with. Here are photos from my pans on my 46. It is 216 and should be the same. Harold
Mike, It is shaped more like an egg than a circle. This is where the exhaust pipe goes. Here is a drawing for you. I used my spare pan, I have both pans, L/R, to get the measurements since the one in the photo is mounted on my truck. Harold
By the way, I was going through some old postings and saw that back in 2019, you posted to roger that you had a sample of Brewster green made up. I have been trying to find, without luck, a sample I can scan for my 1940 truck. Would you have any left that I could scan?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, Here is the formula for Brewester Green. This is on a 1 pint can of touchup paint. If you take it to an automotive paint store they will be able to make you a sample to be sure it is what you want. In fact if the store as been in business for many years they may even have the Brewester Green in their files. This is where the formula on my can came from. The numbers on the lid is the mixing plan: (3 parts paint, 1 part Hardner, 1/2 part Reducer)
I have a spare set of motor shields. They need a little work but are very serviceable. Send me a PM if interested. Harold
Might I suggest Tamco Paint. A call to their tech line should get you a lot of answers. I've never seen them have a problem mixing colors or matching colors!!
Mike, Remember, I used base coat plus clear coat on my truck. This is the paint store I used. ** DIRECT AUTO COLOR 3741 Maysville Rd Commerce, GA 30529 (706) 335-8091 They have been in business for many years. If you ask them they may have the paint code in enamel. Good luck, Harold
II have no problem creating the color by scanning, but I have nothing to scan. I can scan basecoat and create an enamel. I just need somebody to send me a sample to scan.
I’ll try calling and see what they say...
Thanks,
Mike
