Dane, welcome to Stovebolt, sounds like a cool truck. Your basic answer is: Unhook it from everything and lift it out. If you want step by step....... The internet has 10,000 pictures and blogs. If you get in trouble, post here. Your question is pretty unspecific and too general. Like "how do I build a house".

Another thing, since you are new. Your only other post (two days ago) seems to say you got the other motor out, so you already know how to remove a motor. ALSO that post was answered by Jerry and Jon G. They asked you questions and you have not answered, but have posted this post after that. They BOTH answered the same day you posted. This is not a good start and bad manners. Those are two gurus who are trying to help a "new guy". Better get with the program here.

Your first post says "I have 1954 Chevy truck that I recently removed engine because of bad mains"

Dane, You can do it. I pulled and replaced engines and did not know squat. Still don't, actually.

Welcome Dane. The 53, 54 and 55-1st series 235 engines are unique in that they have the "high" water pump same as a 216. Starting in 55-2nd series trucks (and 55 cars) the water pump is lower in the block and has a longer snout. Usually causes radiator/fan clearance issues. The best fix is an adapter plate made and sold by Dave Folsom (Pre '68 Dave).
http://chev235guy.blogspot.com/search/label/Water%20Pump%20Relocation%20Adapter It places the pump more in the center of the radiator. Otherwise it's a good swap especially since 56 and later engines have the 848 head. Good luck.
