It has a mustang 2 front end that I will be putting bags on and I'm also running bags in the rear. I have already installed a 8" c-notch. To get the proper pinion angle for the truck should it be set at ride height but I have already removed the rear end and installed mustang 2 front end. How can I get the proper ride height? I want the truck to set on running boards @ the lowest point. You say you want the truck to set on the running boards at its lowest point.
You probably intend to show it setting that low, but won't drive it any distance while that low. Unless you are on a perfect surface you'll be throwing sparks and wearing things off. That's not very practical.
Wouldn't it be better to determine the height you want to drive it most at, and set the pinion angle at that height.

Just set the pinion angle so that it is parallel to (equal to) the transmission output shaft angle.
