It's been 10+ years since I took my 58 fleetside apart. Now with a replacement big window cab.
So what is the proper location and orientation for the jack mounting bracket? Besides the gas tank? In the door well? Horizontal or Vertical. Pictures appreciated.
Thanks Folks.
John.

But the picture on Ebay makes it clear where my jack goes, and how to stow the crank handle and wheel wrench. Thank you bartamos. Might have to buy one of the decals. Any idea where the decal should go? Glove box lid, or above the jack?

I have a 55-59 Chevy Assembly Manual on PDF which has a good schematic of the jack location. If you want to write me directly it's [email protected]. I also have some photos of mine, in place. Files are too large to attach.
Thanks for the details everyone. It took me a bit of fiddling around to get the jack bracket in the correct place. I had to shift the internal gas tank a bit so that the wheel wrench would fit between the tank and the rear cab wall braces. All good now and everything seems to be tightly held by the spring so they various pieces shouldn't bounce and rattle while on the road.
