First let me say that my truck is far from being stock so it doesn't have to be a stock setup. I have a Chevy BIG 10 rear end, no cables, no emergency brake pedal assembly, pretty much I have nothing. I'm looking for the easiest way to hook up and emergency brake on my truck. I know very little about hooking up an emergency brake system. Any ideas fellows? If you've done this to your truck pics would be great.

I used the setup from an early 70's pickup which I picked from a wreck. I salvaged the pedal assembly, armoured cable and all the bits and pieces attached to it. The pedal assembly fit nicely between the firewall and the dash. A new hole was drilled in the dash and the armoured cable was routed down under the truck next to the speedometer cable. Didn't take any pictures but maybe I should take some since you are the second guy to ask...

Thanks for the input. Just not sure what I need. I need to look at my truck and see if the holes are there for the original pedal assembly. Not sure if it bolted under the dash, to the side wall, or the floor.

There is a plate that bolts to the cab, the inner fender and serves as the support for the foot emergency parking brake. you may be able to find that in the assembly manual.

I found this pic on eBay that looks like it may be the emergency brake assembly. I'm assuming the bracket bolts to the floor plate and the Lock Bar passes through the floor?

Correct.
The bracket is available as a repop, but the pedal assembly and lock bar probably not. Miscellaneous parts like a spring and the u-bolt (lock guide in your figure) that holds the release arm in place are also available. The pedal arm and cross shaft are a single welded assembly, and there's a support bracket that bolts to the floor between the pedal and the arm where the brake rod connects.
I have all the parts laying around and could take some pics of it for you if you'd like. Just let me know.

That pic looks different than what I found. Not even sure if I can go with the original setup in my 49. I need to take a look at the floor board today. Thanks.

Same thing, just from a different angle and with fewer parts shown.
I think your floorboard should have all the mounting stuff to install one. The bracket is what the inner fender is bolted to on the driver's side, so if it's missing, the inner fender would be flopping in the wind at the rear.
Let me know if you want more pics. My cab is on a rotisserie right now and the bottom is easily accessible. I could lay out the bolt-on parts for you to see. I'd just have to collect them.

Pics would be great and any help is appreciated. I think my AC duct would be in the way of the E brake release.
