The original bolts for the bed were splined. Anyone know if these splined bolts are still available? It seems all the new kits and rails have square holes.
I wanted to use my old rails, not sure if I can now.

I am not aware those are original. I have dismantled a few beds and I have never seen that arrangement. I think we need more opinions. But to your question - using the bed strips you have, where can you get fasteners? Maybe someone has a source for those. I have seen them but I dont recall where.
We can debate it here and then I may move this question over the the bed forum.

Search knurled neck bolt on McMaster-Carr. The 1/4-20 x 1.25 long size you need runs $12 for a package of 50. One of two things happened here; the bed strips were replaced with un-punched ones and round holes were drilled or they used Ford bed strips which used the knurled neck type bolts.
