I was attempting to take apart my wing vents on my 65 and broke the nut off of the ( pivot arm ?) not sure what its called. I can't seem to find that particular part. I even tried buying the frame with out the glass, with no luck. The other one was broke off at the frame. Any suggestions?
1. There is a long threaded stem with a spring and washers and a nut. That is the pivot. 2. The is a handle the keeps the window closed. 3. We will assume you mean no. 1 4. What does "broke the nut off mean"???????????? Did you break the threaded stem off of the frame???????
I have done that and welded it back on. Or weld a modified bolt back on. Otherwise, the whole window and frame is available for $250....OR there is a left and a right on Ebay. $30 and $50. The 64-66 is different than 60-63.
Post to parts wanted section. Many should have extras in our stashes. I am 600 miles from my stash otherwise I might offer to help. I would think someone would have one to up your situation at a SB price. Presume passenger side is what you will be looking for. I am not a good enough welder to make that right, but worth a try if you have a welder or friend, as Bartamos suggests.

Lots of ways to fix if you have some fab/welding skills. If not, you better jump on the Ebay one's I posted. It's not a JB weld fix. Did you try to chase the threads on the one where you say "threads are shot"? On the other one, the nut will thread off with proper technique and then weld stud back on. We see and understand the problem now. You need to decide which way to go. What are you in the process of doing exactly?
I had a machine shop friend look at them, and he suggested with their condition, finding replacements. I found and ordered them from Aspen auto. Thanks for all the help!
